Notes: My name is Misty. I would love to tell you a little about myself. I was turned into a shelter in Michigan with my puppies. My puppies were all adopted out and I was left alone. A long time came and went and I was still waiting for my forever home. A friend of mine contacted Happily Ever After to see if they would be willing to take me in as the people running the shelter weren't going to be able to save me much longer. Happily Ever After agreed to take me and the people from the Michigan shelter were all wonderful and came with me on a ferry ride to Wisconsin. They left me here with many good wishes and now I am looking for a home. I am a bit of an alpha female so I would probably be best in a home without dogs and I chase cats so probably none of those either! I would also probably be best in a home without small children. Hope you come see me soon! Thinking of you, Misty

If you would like to help Misty, please donate one of the above procedures. All checks and cash can be sent to HEA, E5714 Bork Road, Marion WI 54950(in the memo line write Contrary to Ordinary/HEA/Misty) or if it is easier to make a credit card donation; HEA has their vet accepting donations at The Animal Hospital of Ashwaubenon at 920-499-0805.
Please email when you have made your donation and I will post your name next to the procedure you have paid and covered for Misty. If it is in honor of someone special or in memory of, feel free to send a jpg.photo and/or a small dedication and I will include that as well on Mistys page. You have no idea how much it means to have support for these wonderful black dogs. Each one that HEA is able to have paid for and place, will allow for one more open spot for the next waiting Gems of the heart to find safety here. If you have made the decision to sponsor Misty for a month ($45) your name will be posted next to the month. If Misty is adopted in that calendar month a fireworks display will be placed next to it and any remaining donation will be applied to another black dog in waiting at HEA with your name on their page.
It does take a village to give a rescued dog a new start in life:
1) As mentioned above Misty needed someone to love, care and speak out for her when others deemed her unwanted, overlooked and no longer able to occupy a kennel run. Her email angel met that need.
2) Misty needed someone to connect on her behalf to find a safeplace. Contrary to Ordinary met her need there.
3) Misty needed a safeplace to unpack some baggage and open her heart in a safe environment while being fed good food with a warm bed of her own. Happily Ever After is doing this.
4) Misty needed free and safe transportation to get to Happily Ever After from Michigan. Volunteers with her former caregivers and Happily Ever After helped her here.
5) Mistys current needs are as follows and where you can support her with your gifts:
~ Her vet bill to be paid so she can be healthy, up-to-date with shots, microchipped and spayed before placed with her new family. All checks and cash can be sent to HEA, E5714 Bork Road, Marion WI 54950 (in the memo line write Contrary to Ordinary/HEA/Misty) or if it is easier to make a credit card donation HEA has their vet accepting donations at The Animal Hospital of Ashwaubenon at 920-499-0805. Tell them you would like to make a donation to Happily Ever After Misty dog. No gift too big or too small. The items above are what is still left, the outstanding bill presented to the rescue who bridged Mistys way into her new safe life. If you can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Each animal bill that is covered will allow for another animal in-need to slide into the safety arms of this rescue, Happily Ever After.
~A sponsor: someone to pay for her food and daily needs @ $1.50 a day. One day sponsors are just as welcomed as week, month, quarterly sponsors. For some dogs, just one more day is all they need!
~Her forever person or family to find her, visit her and willing to adopt her.
